Description:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Investigate accidents to identify causes and process related Worker's Compensation Claims. Furthermore, determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
  • Monitor and assist the Third Party Administrator during the Worker's compensation claims process.
  • Maintain communication with the injured cimployees and the appropriate company personnel.
  • Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and update industrial safety education programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.
  • Assist the Transportation Safety Specialist when needed.
  • Facilitate the development of strategies to meet or exceed organizational and department performance goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and maintain OSHA logs.
Qualifications:EDUCATION/POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree,
  • Minimum three years administering self-insured workers' compensation program (preferably Ohio)
  • Through knowledge of Ohio Worker's Compensation law and procedures, particularly for self-insured employers
  • Knowledgeable of federal, state and local industrial health and safety regulations and programs; e.g., OSHA, HAZCOM, PPE
  • Excellent verbal, written and non-verbal communication skills
  • Excellent proglem-solving skills and a desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Working knowledge of word processing
  • spreadsheets, presentation programs, internet and email.
