| Description: | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Investigate accidents to identify causes and process related Worker's Compensation Claims. Furthermore, determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
- Monitor and assist the Third Party Administrator during the Worker's compensation claims process.
- Maintain communication with the injured cimployees and the appropriate company personnel.
- Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
- Develop, implement, and update industrial safety education programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.
- Assist the Transportation Safety Specialist when needed.
- Facilitate the development of strategies to meet or exceed organizational and department performance goals and objectives.
- Prepare and maintain OSHA logs.

| Qualifications: | EDUCATION/POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree,
- Minimum three years administering self-insured workers' compensation program (preferably Ohio)
Through knowledge of Ohio Worker's Compensation law and procedures, particularly for self-insured employers
- Knowledgeable of federal, state and local industrial health and safety regulations and programs; e.g., OSHA, HAZCOM, PPE
- Excellent verbal, written and non-verbal communication skills
- Excellent proglem-solving skills and a desire to exceed customer expectations
- Working knowledge of word processing
- spreadsheets, presentation programs, internet and email.
